 APRIL:
CJM participated in MACFAIR 2000 at CMS, Lucknow. Monal Mukherjee of class XII won the third prize in Science Fiction writing.

Ankita Khanna of senior category and Garima Sinha of junior category won the third prize in English Elocution at Welham Boys High School.

 MAY:
Priyanka Singh and Shweta Gujral of class XII won the first and second positions respectively in Hindi Extempore Debate at Welham Girls High School. C.J.M won the shield for the overall first position.

CJM teams, comprising Priyanka Singh and Monal Mukherjee of class XII stood second in the Frank Anthony Memorial Inter-School Debate at St. Joseph’s Academy.

 JUNE:  
Bhavika Arora of class II stood first in the Drawing Competition held at Forest Research Institute.

 AUGUST:
Surabhi Jerath of class V stood first in the All India G.K. and Mathematics Competition.

Kanupriya Sood of class VIII won the Zonal competition in badminton held at Meerut.

Monal Mukherjee and Lavanya Paul of class XII won the first prize for CJM at the Anuj Mehta Memorial English Debate at St. Joseph’s Academy.

 SEPTEMBER:
Sreshthha Mahanti of class V stood first in UP and third in India in G.K. Competition.

Shilpa Nautiyal of class IX won the Best Speaker and Best Rebuttal award at the Inter-School Debate held at Welham Boys High School.

C.J.M. team, comprising Anushree Dandriyal, Komal Chaudhary (both class IX) and Sagarika Mukherjee of class XI and Garima Sinha of class X, were awarded the Running Trophy in Computer Application at the Council School Science Model and Computer Applications Competition, hosted by CJM.

In the above competition, CJM Science Model team of Priyanka Kamboj, Somali Raturi, Megha Aggarwal and Anupma Khanna (all class XI) won the second prize.

Monal Mukherjee of class XII won the third prize in the All India Council Schools Albert Barrow Memorial Essay writing Competition.

Priyanka Singh of class XII won the second prize in the Inter-School Hindi Debate organized by Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology.

Madhulika Kaul and Prachi Aggarwal of class VIII won the first and second prize respectively in the Essay writing Competition organized by IIP, Dehra Dun.

 OCTOBER:  
CJM Junior team of class VI, with Abhilasha Bahuguna(leader), Shagun Tiwari, Shivangi Mittal, Archita Dutta and Monalisa Aswal as members won the Second Prize in the National Children’s Science Congress, District Level Competition. They competed in the State Level competition in November and qualified for the National Congress to be held at Calcutta.

C.J.M participated in the various competitions organized at Silfest, Hilton School.
Essay Competition: Ankita Khanna of class XI and Tanvi Negi of class XII won the first and third prize respectively in the senior category. In the Junior category Madhulika Kaul of class VIII stood third.


Singing Competition: Neha Singh of class XI won the first prize in the Hindi Song category and Alice Shepherd again of class XI won the third prize in the English Song category.
Clay Modelling: Anchal Agarwal of class VII stood first in the category.
Collage Making: Ankita Khanna, Avantika Sharma and Misha Mehndiratta won the third prize.

 

 NOVEMBER:
The school basketball team won the Runner’s-Up trophy in the Late Arch Bishop Evangelistic Memorial Basketball Tournament held at St. Joseph’s Academy. Deeksha Goyal of class VIII was declared the best player of the tournament.

Surabhi Srivastava of class V stood second in a Dance Competition organized at D.A.V.

Trisha Gupta of class II and K.S. Krithika of class IV won the second and third prizes respectively in the Inter-School Essay Competition held at Pine Hall School.

Sneha Bhagat of class II got the third prize in the Fancy Dress Competition in Hilton School.

The CJM Badminton team won the second prize in the Council Schools Badminton Tournament.

The School, represented by Priyanka Singh and Monal Mukherjee of class XII, participated in an English Debate conducted by The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Sydney, Australia, held at the Doon School and were adjudged the second best and third best speakers respectively. The school won the overall trophy.
